Message Let me say first off that he didnt steal any of my money but he did agree to sell a product and not deliver.

Story:
I saw his post in the classifieds for a set of 18" iForged Aero's. I emailed him a few times back and forth and we agreed on a price shipped. The following day I went to my bank, on my lunch, and got a cashiers check for the amount. I then went to the post office, again on my lunch, to Next day the check to him so he could verify funds and send the wheels out on Monday.

He calls me up the same day and suggests that we both drive to a meeting point (about 3 hours each way for each person)so he didnt have to ship the wheels. Not a problem with me, so we agreed to set up for the next day to meet.

In the meantime I agree to sell my (very rare) Black AVS-5's to someone locally, thinking since I have an agreement to a sale and already paid for the wheels it was OK to sell mine. Well, Mr. Truman calls and says that his wife didnt know about him selling the wheels and she doesnt want him to part the Z out and thus does not want him to sell the wheels. This would be fine and dandy but we already A: had and agreement B: the wheels were paid for C: I already had my wheels sold (again, very rare wheels). He has my cashiers check and I have nothing. Not to mention I am sure his wife knew of the transaction before hand because I heard him talking to her while we were on the phone.

He did send my cashiers check back and I am not out any money BUT I did pay for them, took time out of my schedule to get him the money ASAP and even had my wheels sold. Luckily I was able to back out of selling my wheels (which sucks because it makes me feel like an ass).

To me, this is unacceptable business practice. We had an agreement, I paid and he changed his mind....and I almost lost my current wheels in the meantime. It seems as though he may have done this before. While searching his past Classifieds posts I came across one that says "Parting out EVERYTHING, for real this time" Link which makes me think that he's backed out of deals before maybe.

I really dont want to stir shit and make someone look bad but he still has his Classifieds posts up and if he really isnt parting his Z then he should delete them. I just dont want anyone else to waste their time with him if he isnt serious about selling.

Yes I was very pissed but I got over it. I just hope someone thinking of dealing with him will see this in Search and decide against it. Thanks for reading :rant off:
